Ready for the February roundup?
First of all, this month is shadowed by some drama around the label that I am releasing on – Midnight Coast and their sub labels. I am very sad to see that there are heated discussions all over social media claiming how fraudulent the label operates and it looks like this might be the label’s downfall.
So what does this mean for me and my songs? I don‘t know. Artists on the label are pretty much left in the dark and my only hope is that each artists’ reputation remains unaffected and that all music stays accessible. I for myself don’t care for politics, I just want to get my music to those people who enjoy it and I found the guys over at Midnight Coast were great supporters of mine, especially Michael, who has been taken a lot of fire from all sides. I will not take part in this game but one thing is a fact: the great news that follow are all thanks to our cooperation!
Marcel Vautier – Colors / Nikko EP
It is finally out! As already mentioned last month, my first EP got a true rocket start by getting featured by none the less than the guys of The Grand Sound. I feel very privileged and honored to receive their support and I can‘t believe that currently over 8.000 people listened to my track „Colors“! Wow!!
Better yet, the B-Side, „Nikko“ might also get featured on that channel but for now that is not confirmed. In any case I want to send a huge thanks to all 8.000 of you and to The Grand Sound for being so supportive of my music! Much love!!

Marcel Vautier – Animata (incl. Remixes)
The other track that I already introduced last month has also seen the daylight in a fantastic installment by one of the great melodic progressive supporters on Youtube that is „KLU“! It is so amazing to see the custom music video that KLU has created for my track and to see all the great comments from true fans of the genre. This means a lot to me! Thank you KLU for featuring me and most of all to everyone listening!
But that’s not all! Barely released, Animata has already been featured in the “Best Progressive House Mix 2019” over at The Grand Sound. Once more I receive the great privilege to be part of the exclusive artist roster on their Youtube channel! Thank you so much!!
Here’s the mix ⬇️
Animata has also been remixed! Progressive House veterans Haroun Chebbi, misk.ita and myni8hte all delivered their version of my track. The results are just awesome! Thanks for the hard work guys! Myni8hte’s remix has also received a feature on Youtube over at the Southern Sun, check it out!

FAWZY – A safe haven (Marcel Vautier Remix)
I have a third release that is scheduled for later this month! This is another remix, of a track that I really like in the original by artist FAWZY. It is a bit different from my other tracks and shows another interpretation of how I see progressive house music. Its a bit minimalistic as I wanted to focus mainly on the emotions that the chord melody emits, stacking on top some extra melodies and keep the feeling of the track as pure as possible.
The release is currently still scheduled with Midnight Coast but due to the problems mentioned I am not sure what will happen to it. So get it while it’s still there! 🙂
